How to Join
Who is an administrative professional?
IAAP defines administrative professionals as "individuals who are responsible for administrative tasks and coordination of information in support of an office related environment and who are dedicated to furthering their personal and professional growth in their chosen profession."
Types of membership
IAAP offers the following types of memberships:
- Professional: A employed administrative professional, or a holder of the Certified Professional Secretary® (CPS) or Certified Administrative Professional® (CAP) rating, or an employed teacher of business education.
- Associate: An individual, firm or educational institution that sustains the objectives of IAAP.
- Student: A full-time student in business education (maximum four years in this classification).

Joining IAAP
If you are interested in joining IAAP, please contact us and we will put you in touch with your nearest chapter. If there is no chapter located within your area, you may join as a Division Member-At-Large. The IAAP headquarter's site offers applications for first-time applicants and those seeking reinstatement.
